Embark on the ultimate sandwich in the form of a freshly baked pizza sandwich, which has gone viral on TikTok and other social media recently.
The pizza sandwich tastes excellent with everything from mortadella, baked chorizo and Italian salami. This variant is another favorite with air-dried ham in a delicious interplay with fresh mozzarella, tomato, arugula and green pesto.

Instructions
Step 1/11
Dissolve the yeast in water, and add salt and olive oil.
Step 2/11
Add wheat flour gradually, and knead the dough thoroughly in a stand mixer for approximately 10 minutes, until it releases from the sides of the bowl.

Let the dough rise covered for 1 hour.
Step 4/11
Preheat the oven to 230 degrees, and place a baking steel in it.

Divide the dough into 4 balls, and let them rise covered for 30 minutes.

Press and stretch the dough out into thin circles, and brush well with olive oil.

Fold one half over the other, and brush the top with olive oil.

Bake for approximately 15 minutes, until the pizza dough is golden and baked through.

Carefully open the pizza sandwich, and spread with pesto.

Slice tomatoes and mozzarella, and distribute both into the pizza sandwich together with air-dried ham and arugula.
