Our series of pots and pans is handcrafted just outside the city of Como, in a small family-owned workshop with more than 130 years of experience. It's a level of craftsmanship that ensures every piece of cookware leaving the workshop is built to the very highest standard.
Each individual pot and pan is produced with precision and care – built to thrive in the professional kitchen, while at the same time bringing an extra dimension to your everyday cooking at home.

5-Ply Stainless Steel
You've probably come across the term '5-ply' before. It refers to pots and pans built with a strong construction of five bonded layers of metal. Here's an overview of what each layer is made from – and how each one contributes to the cookware's exceptional properties:
- The innermost layer is made from SS304 stainless steel, known for being incredibly rust-resistant, highly durable and wear-resistant.
- The second and fourth layers consist of pure aluminium 1050. These bond the aluminium core to the stainless steel, while also adding extra strength and far better heat distribution than you'd find in a traditional 3-ply construction.
- The middle layer forms the heart of the construction – an aluminium 3003 alloy, enriched with manganese and magnesium. This combination makes the core exceptionally strong and gives the cookware its outstanding heat conduction.
- The outer layer is made of SS430, which is both durable and wear-resistant. It's also magnetic, which makes the entire construction fully compatible with induction hobs.
The result? A 5-ply construction that delivers incredible durability, brilliant heat conduction and precise heat control – it distributes heat beautifully evenly and makes cleaning an absolute breeze.
Carbon Steel
Carbon steel frying pans have been around for centuries – and they're a staple of virtually every professional kitchen. There's a very good reason for that.
What makes carbon steel so special is that it combines the very best qualities of every other type of pan. It weighs around half as much as cast iron, yet it's just as durable. It develops a better natural non-stick surface over time, gives you superior heat control, and can be used confidently on the grill or even over an open flame.
In short, with carbon steel you get the best properties of stainless steel, cast iron and non-stick pans – all rolled into one.
What Makes Our Carbon Steel Pan So Special?
Our pan is handmade from 2.5 mm thick carbon steel, giving it the perfect balance between a lightweight feel and outstanding frying performance.
The carbon steel is first cut to size, then pressed over a form to create its uniquely curved sides – perfect for "tossing" food like a pro, while also offering a larger cooking surface than other pans of the same diameter.
Once shaped, the edges are carefully trimmed and the pans are polished with vegetable oil, giving them a beautiful finish and helping to protect them against rust right from the start.

Our 5-ply and carbon steel collection has been developed with input from some of the country's most accomplished chefs.
Each piece is equipped with an ergonomic Cool-Grip handle that's a real pleasure to hold. The handle is cast in stainless steel, with a round underside and a subtle indentation for your thumb – creating a grip that stays comfortable in the hand, even at high cooking temperatures, because it stays cool to the touch.
