Beef and Vegetable Stir Fry
This delicious and flavourful dish with tender beef strips, vegetables and oyster sauce takes no time to prepare. Feel free to vary the dish's contents by season, and make sure not to cook the vegetables more than necessary. They should still have some bite to them. The dish also tastes wonderful with bell peppers, carrots, cabbage, sugar snap peas, snap peas and mushrooms.

Ingredients

onion
3 cloves
garlic
200 g
asparagus
200 g
broccoli
500 g
tender beef
Oil for frying
4 tbsp
oyster sauce
1 tsp
dark soy
2 tsp
sugar
2 tbsp
fish sauce
1 pinch
white pepper

Instructions

Step 1/5
Peel onion and garlic. Cut the onion into thin slices, and mince the garlic. Cut the ends off asparagus, broccoli, and green beans, and cut everything into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2/5
Cut beef into strips, and brown them over high heat in oil in a pan. Set them aside.
Step 3/5
Pour a little extra oil into the pan, and fry garlic until it just starts to colour. Add the vegetables, and continue cooking for about 2 minutes over high heat.

Add oyster sauce, dark soy and sugar, and mix in the beef strips. Add a little water if the dish seems dry. Season with fish sauce and white pepper and optionally a little extra sugar if needed.

Serve with rice or noodles.
